“Welcome to Hell.”Persephone Fields is just an average girl: beloved daughter and loyal friend. One night decides her Fate, when the prince of The Underworld becomes her savior and her kidnapper.
Hades has lived centuries in darkness and sin. When he decides to save the blonde goddess, he doesn’t consider the ramifications of his decision to bring her into his realm.
Two worlds divided struggle to find friendship in a history of family discord beyond their control. When attraction blurs the line, questions result in choices of love or loyalty.
A modern twist of the classic myth: Hades and Persephone, this version incorporates the sensual tension of opposites divided by contemporary humanity and mythical underworlds. Also reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet, this is a love story ripe with desire.
Author’s note: This book contains scenes of sexual intimacy.
Hades: Modern Descendants by Elda Lore was an incredible novel. It offered a combination of present days and mythology. This story had a smooth cadence through its entirety. I found I had a hard time prying the words from before my eyes. Magic, Shakespeare, romance… so what if there’s a curse involved and you are alive while your lover is, for all intents and purposes, dead. I loved this book and the characters played their rolls well. The downside to falling in love with Persephone and Hades? There is a cliffhanger…and I believe the wait for the next book, which may or may not come to pass, might just throw me into the Cave of Decisions. I just have to hope a Prince will come rescue me. *Voluntary review of Advance Reader Copy. I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the publisher*
